Legal Law Study LSAT Exams for schools admissions for Law Degree

Nearly all American Bar Association (ABA)-approved law schools require the LSAT as one component of an admission file.

The LSAT (Law School Admission Test) is required for admission to most law schools and is offered four times each year. The top law schools will be looking for scores that are close to perfect

The test consists of five 35-minute sections of multiple-choice questions. Four of the five sections contribute to the test taker’s score. These sections include one Reading Comprehension section, one Analytical Reasoning section, and two Logical Reasoning sections..
The LSAT is designed to measure skills that are considered essential for success in law school: the reading and comprehension of complex texts with accuracy and insight; the organization and management of information and the ability to draw reasonable inferences from it; the ability to think critically; and the analysis and evaluation of the reasoning and arguments of others. Why the LSAT is Important ?
Your undergraduate GPA is probably set in stone, or is nearly so. Therefore, your last best chance to improve your odds of admission is to improve your LSAT score. And your LSAT score is important regardless of your GPA. If you have an impressive GPA, the test can be a liability; a poor performance can call your academic record into question. If you have a poor GPA, the test is an opportunity; it can overcome doubts raised by your transcript.

GPA and LSAT aren’t everything, but most schools will begin their evaluation process by some-how sorting their applicant pools by academic profiles. It’s fairly easy to plot your academic chances of getting into most schools, although this becomes increasingly difficult with the more selective schools, a few of which don’t even publish the numerical statistics (LSAT and GPA) of their entering class.
Do not forget taht LSAT scores are valid for 5 years only.

WHY study the law ?

Lots of students will choose law because they are interested in pursuing a career in the legal profession. Law is a demanding course and training places for solicitors and barristers are highly competitive and limited.

However, for those with the right aptitudes and motivation, the rewards of legal career can be great, both in terms of salary levels and personal development.

Unfortunately, getting into the legal profession is very challenging; so many students do need to consider other options.

Happily, not only will a law degree provide you with access to a variety of legal careers, it will also give you an excellent springboard into a wide range of other professions.

More than half of all the graduate jobs do not require any particular degree background and a good Law degree will allow you to present plenty of important skills to future employers.

Law is relevant to everyone, not just those who work within the legal profession. Law provides the framework of rules for society, affecting almost all aspects of our lives, so it's of direct interest to all of us.

As a Law graduate, your choice of career might be greater than you think. The skills you develop during your studies not only give you access to the legal professions themselves, but also other careers that link to law, such as the police or prison service. You’ll find that legal skills are in demand in local government, politics, the civil service, business, management and administration, to name just a few.
